Channeling Cousin It

I have two tweens in the house.  And as you might imagine, we go through hair conditioner at an alarming rate.  Especially considering that we live in Equator, Florida, that it’s summer in Equator, Florida, and that both girls are members of a swim team.

And when you’re a tween (one especially close to 13) it’s all about the hair.

The older of the two sisters has thick curly hair, which she tortures by forcing it to comply to a stick straight style with the use of my Chi.  The other sister has stick straight strawberry blonde hair, not unlike Repunzel.  She has discovered the joys of my old yellow sponge rollers, and has perfected the art of sleeping in curlers so that her hair will appear naturally curly the next day.

What is it that Erma said about the grass always being greener over the septic tank?

The only thing that drives me even more insane than these daughters not appreciating their own beautiful natural hair, is that they believe that wearing your hair directly in front of your eyes is considered a style.  For this I must call my own father and apologize once again, as he consistently called me Cousin It during my own angst filled teen years.

Anyhoo.  Conditioner is a must here in our household.  And I totally get that, because should I try to get by without the use of a good conditioner, my hair is not unlike a dandelion.

Recently I was given the opportunity to try Dove Intensive Repair Daily Treatment Conditioner.  It came in a large tube which made daily trips to and fro between the two bathrooms easy.  It also transports well to the pool and does not leak within the confines of, say, a pretty pink backpack.

It has worked beautifully on all heads of female hair in our household.  And all 3 of use have very very different hair textures.  Because of the light weight formula, the girls have been able to use it daily without worry of it weighing down their hair.
