Because I’m 6, and can appreciate girl shoes

by Fiddledeedee on February 29, 2012

As you know, Jensen has spent the first nearly 7 years of his life migrating from obsession to obsession.  He has a new one.  One that I entirely approve of.  Of late, his favorite television show is Peep and the Big Wide World.  I’ve documented that phase here.

Evidently, at the end of each episode, there is a short cartoon named “Pocoyo” about a toddler and his various animal friends.  Pocoyo has completely captivated my son’s attention.  My favorite of Pocoyo’s friends is a pink elephant named Elly.  This is a show that has no unsavory attitudes or language.  And it makes me laugh.

Recently I sat down with Jensen and watched an episode named “Elly’s New Shoes”.  I rewound it and watched 3 or 6 more times.  The episode is about 7 minutes long, but well worth the time.  In my neurotic opinion.

What woman can’t sympathize with Elly’s plight?

We love Pocoyo at our house. He comes on Nick Jr. in three 7 minute episodes in a half hour show. You can also find more on Netflix. Elle is my little girl’s favorite! Beware, the theme music will stay in your head for hours!

Oh. My. Word. This made me laugh so hard! Mainly because I have a two and a three year old who are both obsessed with shoes right now. They are in a phase of sleeping in their shoes right now so that cracked me up!
