Blogiversary

Today marks five years that I’ve been blogging.  Which is a sort of milestone I suppose.  Considering all of the times I started and stopped either journaling or writing a diary in my life time.

If the truth be told, I thing the longevity comes from the community that I experience here every single day.  (No amount of lined paper will do that.)  And I suppose all of the fodder that my husband and children provide me with.

I’ve been awfully reflective this week.  I can’t help but think how different our life was when Fiddledaddy first suggested that I write down my thoughts, after finding me in a fetal position on the cheap linoleum.  Five years ago Jensen was 18 months old and my girls were 6 and 4, respectively.  A life time has passed since then.  And it should be noted that I still have a warm spot on the cheap linoleum, because there still are those days…

In honor of this anniversary, I wanted to link back to my very first post, dated July 28, 2006.  Please keep in mind that it was my first post.  I doubted anyone would ever read it.  And I was sleep deprived.

The 3 comments that I received were from 3 very dear real life friends.  Reenie was my mother’s best friend, Lynda was my best friend our freshman year of high school, and Julie is a dear friend that I’ve known much of my adult life.

Thank you, ALL OF YOU, dear friends, old and new, real and cyber.  You will never know what you all have meant to me over these last 5 years.

And here’s to the next 5 years.  Providing my family accommodates, providing me with material.  Somehow, I don’t think that will be an issue.

  • Happy Blogoversary!! I am so glad you started blogging. Although I don’t always comment; reading your blog is one of the highlights of my day. Some times I cry with you, sometimes I praise the LORD with you; sometimes I pray for you. But, usually, I’m laughing with you. Well… sometimes at you, but I’m sure you understand. 🙂

God bless you, and here’s to many years.

  • Happy blogoversary! : ) I am always ready to see what crazy stuff your family has been up to every morning when I start clickin’. And reading your first post was pure fun. I think my first post was something to the effect of…this is my first post and I have no idea what I’m doing. You obviously knew what you were doing from the git go. Good job! : )

  • Yay Merry Blogaversary!
Cant go long without my dose of the fiddledeedees.

  • Happy Anniversary! I think I’ve been reading since sometime in your second year. Please don’t ever stop! Although you really should write a book. I would totally buy it!

  • Hooray! Here’s to five more years! Thanks for lots of laughter and smiles.

  • Happy Blogiversary!!! 🙂

Following your saga has been fun. The mornings that I need a little extra to get going you usually have a side splitter that leaves me laughing in my poptart! And equally moving (just in the other direction) you can tug on my heart strings – in a good way. You have a way with words and you remind me to seek the humor – it’s there! 😉 Can’t wait to witness the “teen years” through your eyes, you know, because misery loves company! hahahhaaha

    Here’s to 5 more!

  • Congratulations!

    I’ve laughed, I’ve prayed … I couldn’t ask more from a blog.
