All good things must come to an end

After a fantastic weekend at our Florida Homeschool Convention, I’m back to face the realities of life.  Which include a deadline, and 50 loads of laundry.  Therefore, I’m going to make this brief, and leave you with just a couple of photos.

This was the view from my sister-in-law’s (Cathy) room.  She chose to upgrade to an atrium view of  the Gaylord Palms Hotel.  Whereas her sister (Trish) and I had a view of a cow pasture.  We visited with Cathy, and after a few swigs of ChocoVine, I was able to do this:

I don’t know if you can tell, but I am not fond of heights.  However, the delightful combo of chocolate and red wine can make you do CRAZY THINGS.

I will be back with more details tomorrow.  Some conventional wisdom, as it were.

Happy Memorial Day!

  • Looks like packing the Chocovine was a great packing move.

    Right on!

    Right on!

  • I had a fabulous view of a parking lot! Wahoo!! I was just a tiny bit jealous of my friends atrium view until she told me that the cleaning carts clattering over the tile floor woke her up at 5:30 AM. Yep, the parking lot was a good view! 🙂

  • Don’t be envious of the atrium view. We got upgraded to one, too, but I had to use my earplugs and take EXTRA Ambien to fall asleep because of the teens who were still wandering around, whooping and hollering in the atrium after midnight!

  • We had an atrium view but on the first floor. The allowed for PERFECT people watching. After hearing Stephen say 3 times “wow, you can tell that kid is homeschooled”, I had to remind him that he is the father of three homeschoolers. =)

As to the noise?? I didn’t hear a thing…. I think the solution to that is CHOCOVINE! woohoo!
