Winners Circle, plus some scary stuff thrown in for fun

I had two giveaways that ended this weekend and I’ve contacted the winners.  The first was for the Mead Writing Fundamentals giveaway, and the winner was #31, Julia!

The winner of $100 Visa Gift card, courtesy of BlogHer and Ritz Crackerfuls was #149, Selena.  Congratulations to you both.

Now, in other unrelated weekend news, I finally saw Paranormal Activity last night.  Which is always a good idea if you consider how high strung and prone to anxiety I already am.  Without provocation.  I know, I was warned, but I like to think I live on the edge.

If you have seen the movie, you’ll understand the following.  I dreamed that I woke up and Cailey was standing by the side of my bed staring at me.  This has actually happened with each of my children at one time or another, but I don’t usually end up on the ceiling fan.

Then this morning, when our air conditioner kicked in, the bedroom door slammed shut.  ALL BY ITSELF.  The subsequent pot of coffee I consumed has only served to make me more jittery.

If you haven’t seen the movie, DON’T.  Not unless you don’t mind sleeping with your eyes open… And I understand that there is a Paranormal Activity 2 coming out.  (Do not click on the link unless you are alone.  NO, scratch that, don’t be alone, just make sure no children are present. And you’re not clutching a cup of hot coffee.)

That’s all I’m sayin’.  Carry on.

  • I know *exactly* how you feel about Paranormal Activity. I had issues for weeks (okay, months) after watching it. I couldn’t even stand next to the bed for a second to check my phone or anything. Completely freaked me out. My husband sent me a link to the trailer for Paranormal Activity 2 the other week. At first I thought it was a spoof or something. Oh how wrong I was. I called him & asked if he had actually *watched* the trailer before sending it to me. He laughed & said yes. Again… completely freaked out.

    *shudder*
