Btw, I always use butter. :) @ Melanie, as a substitute for buttermilk you can put a Tbs of white vinegar or lemon juice in a measuring cup, add milk up to the 1 cup line and let it sit for a few minutes. Or I guess you would want to half that for this recipe but it works fine. :) I have been making this since the last time you posted it and I just have to say I LOVE THIS CAKE!!!
