The Movie Meme

Movie_Meme

I sat down to put together this little meme for purely selfish motives.  I found myself in the library (ALONE) on Friday, and wanted to check out a DVD to watch.  A DVD in the ADULT section.  Well, that just came out all wrong. What I mean is, THE NON-CHILDREN section.

And I stood there, along with a couple dozen elderly library patrons and there assorted walking apparatuses, staring at the shelves.  Hoping for inspiration.  I recognized nothing.

I dearly love movies.  But I am clearly out of touch.  The last movie I actually sat in a theater and watched, was “Up.”  And after purchasing the 3-D glasses, tickets, and small popcorn, the sticker shock was more than I could handle.

I vowed that from now on, verily I say, I will only borrow movies from the library system.

But I need a little guidance.  Hence the Movie Meme.

I’m simply tagging everyone in the blogosphere.  If you do this Movie Meme on your own blog, please let me know in the comments so that I can come by and take copious notes.

And of course, if you don’t have a blog, you can participate in the comments.

I love Raising Arizona too! I first watched it in college with a group of friends… and was hooked. When he holds up the mini mart so he can get diapers. A hilarious mess!

Ah…the Nightmare movies. Those were from a different era of my life–the era where it was cool to watch them, so you gave up nights, weeks of sleep in order to be cool.

But…I could ask you the same thing about the Poltergeist movies!! And I heard rumors that many of the actors of the Poltergeist movies died mysterious, untimely deaths after filming. Since you’re the Hollywood person, do you know if those rumors are true?

HEY…there is nothing ad nauseam about “your’s mine and our’s the original” LOL
I love love love that movie. They just don’t make em like Lucille Ball anymore.:)

Jenna,
AMEN TO THAT SISTER! And what I meant by “ad nauseam” is that I can watch it over and over and over and over….thusly driving everyone else in the house insane….(my master plan, btw) :)

So, I don’t follow the rules very well, but maybe some of my faves would be movies you could enjoy… :)

I saw The Proposal in the theater lately, and this has prompted me to watch some of my old Sandra Bullock movies – Miss Congeniality and While You Were Sleeping. They are classics. I also like Hitch with Will Smith. It is very funny and my husband will watch it with me. Personally, I’ve been watching TV series checked out from the library. I am currently on Season 2 of Bones ….
