Randomly Speaking, A Random Meme

by Fiddledeedee on March 23, 2007

I was recently tagged for this meme by Beth at I Should Be Folding Laundry.

1. What time did you get up this morning? Which time? The first was at 2 AM, as I was summoned for a pajama party by my 2 year old. The second and final time, was at 7 AM. I mean, who can sleep when Sesame Street is coming on.

15. If you could go anywhere on vacation where would you go? A cruise to Alaska, with my husband. When the children are all in college.

Where is sixteen? With my hip huggers so tight that if I put a quarter in the pocket, you would know if it were heads or tails. And my blue Candies shoes that nearly crippled me. So the answer is way back in 1976, where it belongs.

17. Where would you want to retire? In the country. In Texas.

18. Favorite time of day? Mornings. But not 2:00 in the morning.

19. Where were you born? Fort Worth, y’all.

26. What is your best childhood memory? Weekends at our farm in Indiana, with my family.

27. Ever been to Africa? No. But it gets Africa hot here in Florida around August.

46. Do you tan easily or burn easily? Burn. Then freckle. Then shed my skin like a snake.

47. Do you color your hair? If so, how often? Recently someone asked me where I get my hair done. I replied, “My Bathroom.” I wasn’t sure if it was a complement, or if they wanted to be certain to avoid whatever salon I frequented. I color and hi-lite my own hair every 6-8 weeks.

48. What was the first car you ever purchased without the help of your parents? A Honda Civic CRX. Brand spanking new.

So I tag: Tammy, Tonya at There Is A Season, and Mommy The Human Napkin. Plus anyone else who wants to join in!

You really put Crisco on your feet? Do you have a special pair of really thick socks that you use so you don’t ruin all your socks? Hmmm… I tried a similar thing with my hands once, with a gift from Bath and Body Works. It was some kind of special goop and then you put on these cotton gloves. I just remember my hands getting really really hot. Do your feet get hot?

There are so many interesting things about you on this meme. I’m with Michelle & Barbie, Crisco on your feet? Seriously?
A farm in Indiana? Where in Indiana?
I love the battleship tattoo story! I’m so thankful your friend was there.
We’ve learned so much about you! Thanks for playing along!

Yeah, I want to know the whereabouts of this farm in Indiana too! I’m from Crawfordsville~home of Wabash College. Anywhere near?

DeeDee, you can even make a meme SO funny!

In answer to your questions:

I’m serious about the Crisco. It isn’t gross at all. And it doesn’t make me smell like fried chicken. Which would not be a bad thing.

The farm was in Lawrenceberg, Indiana. Right by Tanner Creek. The most beautiful place on earth. :) I would love to take my kids there some day.

Very hilarious and very telling. I am not joining in on the crisco thing because the stuff runs me 4,00 euro per can. For the mini-small size can. At the specialty shop for expats.
Love these question lists, for within you find common ties with folks you’d never expect.
Thanks for the giggles.

Crisco? Really? You promise? My tootsies need help. My 6 year old accidentally bumped into my bare heel the other day, scowled and said, “It feels like you have shoes on.”

Ugh.

15 amy March 25, 2007 at 4:17 am

Great post! I LOVE The Notebook

Have a great rest of the weekend

16 Laura March 25, 2007 at 11:03 pm

Wow so much in common. Lets see, I too love to sing my praises to Jesus on Sunday, well anyday really but Sunday is especially nice because all those around me cringe and it just makes me sing louder…lol.
Oh I so wanted to be Miss America too which is tricky since I live in Canada but a girl can dream. No talent here either except maybe I could dump a junk drawer and put it all back together all pretty….now wouldn’t that make for an exciting pagent….oh my word!
I so love my chips too but for me it is Ketchup chips…yummy!

Laura

Me again. I forgot to say that the Notebook is my all time favorite movie. The chemistry in that movie was HOT….I needed a shower afterwards…hot, hot, hot!
