Happy Birthday Two!

by Fiddledeedee on March 1, 2007

Dear Mom,

Things are gonna have to change around here.  I’m big now.  I’m two today.   I like to crash my cars into each other.  I like to bash my head into the walls.  I like to scream so loud that your ears bleed, I like to throw things.  Hard.  So they hit an unsuspecting sister.  I like to play “king of the hill” and climb on top of the kitchen table.  Sometimes I lick the ground, big deal.  I like to tip over the furniture.  I’m strong and mighty like that, you know.  Get use to it.  I’m a bundle of testosterone.

And it’s only going to get worse.

You really need to get over your unreasonable fear of spiders and bugs.  Pretty soon, I’m going to be stuffing them into my pockets and bringing them home to you as a present.  I’m only going to get bigger and stronger.  Because I know you’ve been hiding those icky green things, vegetables I think, in my apple sauce.  You know that gross stuff you found in-between my crib and the wall?  Guess what that was?

And mom, your gonna have to learn a little something about football especially since I’ve been voted “Most Likely To Become A Football Player” by the nursery staff at church.

I know that you love to sniff of my hair and kiss me on the neck.  But Mom, c’mon, not around the guys!  Save it for when you’re rocking me to sleep.  Then it’s ok.  You can keep on doing that.

It’s gonna be good to be two.  I hope you can keep up.

Your loving son,
Jensen

So just what did you find between the wall and crib? LOL

Yep, HANG ON Mom, it is just beginning (ok I know that is not what you want to hear). But even at almost (in the midst of testosterone) 13 they still melt your heart when they tell you “I love you”.

I look like one of those bobble heads as I read this one…
Yep…Yep…Yep…
And wouldn’t you just know that they only get cockier the older they get??

I too am in the midst of toddler..ahem..heaven. Isn’t it grand. Funny enough, I just posted a picture of my little man playing ‘king of the hill’ today. Little monkey had to nerve to wave his chubby little fingers at me when he saw me coming. He hasn’t learned the art of subtlety yet. The other’s know if you are on the table when Big Mama is a comin’ you need to start a runnin’. He’ll learn, but for now…he’s just to sweet for words.

My oldest is turning 3 a week from tomorrow – a similar letter/post would be such a sweet thing for her. Thanks!

Oh yeah! Two raawks! Two is funny and sweet and rowdy and delicious and then more funny on top. Eat it up! Two is an appetizer for Three.

That’s cute. Life with boys is a totally different world, isn’t it?
Happy Birthday to the little man!

Oh, this brought some tears to my eyes. This sounds so much like my 3 year old Caleb, it’s scary…well, all except the licking thing..and the bugs in the pocket. MY son likes to lick bugs (as in eat them) and put dirt from the flower garden in his pockets….we’re so proud!

Happy birthday, little man.

Hey! He’s only 11 days older than I am. (okay..he’s 30some years younger but we’re not gonna go there.)

I am learning this week, boys are different creatures. I’m not sure they are quite human.

LOL!

Oh cripes – I think I might cry!

My littlest will be 2 in July. It’s going by way too fast . . .

Oh my, was that letter from your Jensen or my Jeremy? ;)

I’m so proud that both my son and I (and his siblings, daddy, extended family and the poor unsuspecting world) have survived the last two years. He’ll be 4 in two months and I finally feel the urge to squeeze him in a loving way more often than the alternative. LOL

Sneak in those snuggles anytime you can!

This describes my 2 yr old daughter to the “T”. She just flipped two a few weeks ago. She and Jensen will have to duke it out someday for Football Player of the Year.
